Prepared Motions
If a prepared motion is selected, it will be available here by January 4.
Student participants are not permitted to use phones or internet capable devices during the tournament.
Judging
To provide the best experience for students and volunteers, we provide judge training at every event!
- All teams must provide one judge for the event.
- Teams that do not provide a judge may be unable to compete.
- Judges do not need previous experience.
- Judge registration will open here from January 15 - 22.
Student Registration
- A registration form must be filled in for each student.
- Space may be limited.
- If you do not have a partner, SEDA will do its best to match you with a partner.
- Debater registration will open here from January 15 - 22.
Tournament Fee
- $40 tournament fee per student.
- We offer financial aid when cost is a barrier to participation. Financial aid can be selected on the registration form.
- You will be sent a link to pay by credit card within 48 hours or registering.
- Teams that cancel less than 24 hours before the tournament will still owe tournament fees.
Meals
- Bring a water bottle.
- Lunch is provided for debaters, coaches, judges, and volunteer moderators.
- Observers can purchase a lunch ticket for $10. This must be indicated on the student registration form.
Travel & Travel Fees
If we able to provide a bus for the event, the information will be available here in December.
