- Rounds: 3 rounds impromptu
This event will qualify students for the Canadian National British Parliamentary Championship. Please view our qualifying criteria page to understand how teams qualify.
Who can attend?
- Grades 7 to 12
- Junior Division: Open to students born on or after September 1, 2010
- Senior Division: Open to high school students.
Motions and Prep
- All motions will be impromptu.
- Students will receive the motion 15 minutes before each round.
- No research is allowed during prep time.

Judging
- All teams must provide one judge.
- Teams without a judge may be unable to compete.
- No experience required. We provide training.

Registration
- Space may be limited
- Some teams may sit out a round if numbers are uneven.
- If you don’t have a partner, we will try to match you with someone.
- Observers must be registered on the student registration form.
- A registration from must be filled in for each student.

Tournament Fee
- $20 per student. Fee will be $40 per student if tournament is moved in-person.
- Financial aid available.
- Pay by e-transfer to director@saskdebate.com
- Put the student's name followed by BPQ in the memo line.
- Teams that cancel less than 24 hours before the tournament will still owe tournament fees.
