Speech & Debate Academy (SDA) is an after-school program where youth have an opportunity to learn critical thinking skills and practice public speaking and debate. They will be encouraged to express their own opinions in thoughtful and creative ways.
Students in grades 5 to 12 will meet once a week for five weeks. Classes will be divided by age and experience level. There may be a cap on the number of students who can register
When & Where
Luther College High School, 1500 Royal St. in Regina. Classes will run Monday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 PM for 5 weeks. To avoid holiday Mondays, some adjustments have been made:
- October 7
- October 14 (NO CLASS)
- October 21
- October 28
- November 4
- November 14 (THURSDAY)
How to Register
Students must be a SEDA member to access Speech & Debate Academy.
- $100 Registration fee (per term).
- E-transfer to director@saskdebate.com by September 30. Please put the student's name followed by SDA in the memo line.
- Students that withdraw less than 72 hours before the first class will still owe the full-term fee.
- We offer a 25% subsidy. If the subsidy prices are still a barrier to participation, please contact SEDA at info@saskdebate.com.
