- Divisions/Grades: Grade 5 to 8. Beginner divisions is grades 5 &6. Intermediate division is grades 7 & 8.

- Rounds: 2 rounds prepared, 1 round impromptu.
Motions
Prepared Motion: This house would pay babysitters minimum wage.
Students should come prepared to debate both side of the motion.
The third round motion will be impromptu. Students will be given the motion at the event and will have 30 minutes to prepare their speeches. No research is allowed during prep time. We have resources to help students prepare for impromptu debates.
Judging
- All teams must provide one judge for the event.
- Teams that do not provide a judge may be unable to compete.
- Judges do not need previous experience. We provide a judge briefing at the start of every event to teach judges how to score a debate and give feedback.

- Judge registration will be open HERE from Friday November 1 to Friday November 8.
Debater Registration
- There may be a limit to the number of teams who can register.
- If an odd number of teams register, some teams may be required to sit out one round.
- If you do not have a partner, SEDA will do its best to match you with a partner.
- Observers for virtual tournaments must be registered on the debater registration form.
- A registration from must be filled in for each student.
- Students must be a registered SEDA member to attend this tournament.
- Student registration will be open HERE from Friday Friday November 1 to Friday November 8.
Tournament Fee
- $40 tournament fee per student.
- E-transfer to director@saskdebate.com by Friday November 8. Put the student's name followed by T3 in the memo line.
- Teams that cancel less than 24 hours before the tournament will still owe tournament fees.
- We offer a 25% or 50% subsidy. If the subsidy prices are still a barrier to participation, please contact SEDA at info@saskdebate.com.
Volunteer Moderator
- A moderator is the person who introduces the round of debate, tracks speaking times of each debater for the judges, and brings judge ballots to tournament staff.
- This role is best held by a student who enjoys volunteering and/or is interested in debate.

Tournament Food
- We will not be providing lunch for debaters. Debaters should bring their own bagged lunch.
- We will be providing a pizza lunch for volunteer judges and coaches.
