Advanced Debate Academy: Term 2

Walter Murray Collegiate

Advanced Debate Academy is an after-school program where youth have an opportunity to learn critical thinking skills and practice public speaking and debate. Students will meet once a week for five weeks. Homework will be required. Term 2 of the Advanced classes will focus on World Schools Debate Style.

Student Criteria

  • Students should have a strong comprehension of Canadian National Debate Style
  • Students in grades 7 and 8 need two years of debate experience.
  • Students in grades 9 to 12 must have one year of debate experience

When & Where 

Walter Murray Collegiate, 1905 Preston Ave S in Saskatoon.  Classes will run every Thursday night from 6:15 to 7:45 PM for 5 weeks.

  • December 9 (MONDAY)
  • December 12

How to Register 

Students must be a SEDA member to access Speech & Debate Academy. 

  • $150 Registration fee (per term).
  • There may be a cap on the number of students who can register 
  • E-transfer to director@saskdebate.com by November 12. Please put the student's name followed by SDA in the memo line. 
  • Students that withdraw less than 72 hours before the first class will still owe the full-term fee. 
  • We offer a 25% subsidy. If the subsidy prices are still a barrier to participation, please contact SEDA at info@saskdebate.com.
