Event Details

• Date: Saturday, November 8, 2025
• Time: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Location: Virtual via Zoom
• Format: Canadian National Style
• Rounds: 3 rounds impromptu

Who can attend?

• Grades 5 to 8
  • Beginner Division: Grades 5 & 6
  • Intermediate Division: Grades 7 & 8

Motions and Prep

• All motions will be impromptu.
• Students will receive the motion 30 minutes before each round.
• No research is allowed during prep time.
• Check out our impromptu prep resources.

Judging 

• All teams must provide one judge.
• Teams without a judge may be unable to compete.  
• No experience required. We provide training.

• Judge registration open October 24 - 31.

Registration 

• Space may be limited
• Some teams may sit out a round if numbers are uneven.
• If you don’t have a partner, we will try to match you with someone.
• Observers must be registered on the student registration form.
• A registration from must be filled in for each student.
• Registration open October 24 - 31.

Tournament Fee  

• $20 per student. 
• Financial aid available.
• Pay by e-transfer to director@saskdebate.com
  • Put the student's name followed by T3 in the memo line. 
• Teams that cancel less than 24 hours before the tournament will still owe tournament fees.
