We are offering FREE workshops as part of our Welcome Week. These workshops will give students a sample of speech and debate. They are designed for students with 0 – 1 year of experience in grades in grades 5 to 12. The groups will be divided by grade and experience level. Our Intro to British Parliamentary Style Workshop is open to students with a greater experience level.
Parents are invited to stay for an Introduction to SEDA for Families Session. This is a chance to learn more about who we are, what your child will be doing, and how you can get involved through volunteer judging opportunities.
Saturday September 27 at École Canadienne-Française - Pavillon Gustave-Dubois, 2320 Louise Ave.
- Into to Speech – 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM
- Intro to Debate – 11:00 - 12:30 PM
- Intro to British Parliamentary Style Debate – 11:00 - 12:30 PM (Students coming to the BP workshop should be in grades 7 to 12 and have two years of debate experience)

- Students do not need to attend all workshops. There will be an option on the registration form to select which workshops they plan to attend.
